The Last Ten Surahs: Short but Mighty
The last ten surahs of the Quran (from Surah Al-Fil to Surah An-Nas) are short, easy to memorize, and packed with meaning and blessings.
Easy to Memorize These surahs are ideal for beginners. They are short enough to learn in a day or two, yet they contain profound themes: Allah's power, protection from evil, and the essence of faith.
Recited in Prayer Muslims recite these surahs regularly in the voluntary and obligatory prayers. Surah Al-Ikhlas is equal to one-third of the Quran in reward. Surah Al-Falaq and An-Nas are the "Mu'awwidhatayn"—verses of seeking refuge—recited for protection.
Surah Al-Kawthar The shortest surah, with just three verses. It was revealed to console the Prophet (peace be upon him) when his enemies mocked the loss of his sons. It promises him Al-Kawthar—a river in Paradise—and success.
Surah An-Nas and Al-Falaq These surahs seek refuge in Allah from evil—from the whispers of jinn and mankind, and from the harm of creation. The Prophet (peace be upon him) recited them when seeking healing and protection.
A Daily Practice Make these surahs part of your daily recitation. Memorize them, understand them, and let them protect and guide you.
