Connecting with the Quran in Ramadan
Ramadan is the month of the Quran. It was in this month that the Quran was revealed, and it is the ideal time to reconnect with the Book of Allah.
The Month of Revelation "The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion." (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:185) — Ramadan and the Quran are inseparable. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would review the entire Quran with Jibril during this month.
Set a Goal Whether it's completing one full reading (khatm) or focusing on understanding a few surahs, set a realistic goal. Quality and consistency matter more than rushing through pages.
Recite with Reflection "Do they not then reflect on the Quran?" (Surah An-Nisa 4:82) — Take time to ponder the verses. Use a translation or tafsir if needed. Let the words sink in.
Recite in Prayer The best way to connect with the Quran is to recite it in prayer. Lengthen your night prayers (Taraweeh or Qiyam) and let the Quran flow through your tongue and heart.
Give the Quran as a Gift Share the Quran with others—through recitation, translation, or teaching. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it."
May Ramadan be a month of Quran for us all.
